About the Role
General Summary The Cement Mason is responsible for safely smoothing out, leveling, and finishing surfaces of poured
concrete to specified quality and textures with the use of hand and/or power tools. This includes pouring, spreading,
tamping, leveling, shaping, smoothing, and finishing concrete to meet horizontal tolerances and finish specifications.
The Mason operates various machinery and equipment, including cement edging, troweling, and finishing equipment, bull
floats, brooms, and trowel machines. Tasks also involve molding expansion joints and edges, patching horizontal and
vertical concrete, constructing and assembling concrete forms and wooden frame structures for various concrete
