School Transportation Dispatcher

About the Role

Dispatcher The dispatcher will facilitate orderly and efficient and safe operation of the Transportation Department and

assist the Transportation Supervisor. The dispatcher will complete school bus driver training, including knowledge of

state rules and regulations, district policies and rules, and first aid and CPR classes. They will plan and revise bus

routes, schedules, and field trips. The dispatcher will adjust time schedules as assigned maintaining pick-up and

delivery schedules. They will call and schedule substitute bus drivers. They will receive and respond to complaints from

parents, teachers, and administration. The dispatcher will dispatch buses per route assignment and notify appropriate
